Miller 33.19-Z.1 "INDE over INDN" F+ 1787 DBL Connecticut Copper Coin W-3645
W-3645 variety (Whitman code) also traditionally known as a Miller 33.19-Z.1 1787 DBL (draped bust left) Connecticut Colonial Copper Coin with very nice eye-appeal.
This particular variety has an "E corrected from erroneous N" or often called "INDE over INDU" on the reverse legend.
The die cutters error & correction is clearly seen on this example.
Very Scarce URS-9 (traditional R4 rarity) with an estimated 125 - 249 known.
Well struck on a choice hard planchet with surfaces that are an attractive light medium brown, smooth, and glossy.
The rims are perfect & smooth with no bumps or bruises.
This coin has a clear 1787 date, it has not been cleaned, it weights 115.3 grains, and is in F+/VF condition.
Very "Late Die State" of the obverse resulting in a sunken look and giving the impression of a lower grade of Fine, but the reverse shows strong VF+ sharpness.
