Description
Offered here at Auction is a 1788 dated Massachusetts Copper Cent. I attribute this coin as a Ryder 3E, with a W-6220 designation by Q. David Bowers in his Colonial and Early American Coins attribution guide book. This coin has Very Good grade detail, however, we see a rough surface coin. The date does show, however, the surface condition shows somewhat blurry numerals. On the portrait of the Indian side, one will note some planchet defects. Not too bad for a coin more than 200 years old. Q. David Bowers lists this coin a URS-9 in scarcity, or in his analysis 125-249 pieces known to exist.Multiple lot winners, I will combine all lots together and ship Priority mail for .95 total cost.
