    Description

Offered here at Auction is a 1787 dated Connecticut Copper Cent.  I attribute this coin as a Miller 37.8-LL, with a W-4150 designation by Q. David Bowers in his Colonial and Early American Coins attribution guide book.  This coin is shows ""ET-IIB" instead of ET LIB in the legend.  The surfaces of this coin are lightly granular uniformly over the obverse and reverse.  Each digit of the 1-7-8-7 date show.  The portrait side shows fairly nice detail even with the granularity.  Q. David Bowers lists this coin a URS-7 in scarcity, or in his analysis 33-64 pieces known to exist.
