    Description

Offered here at Auction is a 1787 dated Connecticut Copper Cent.  I attribute this coin as a Miller 37.10-RR, with a W-4165 designation by Q. David Bowers in his Colonial and Early American Coins attribution guide book.  This coin has a nice porosity free planchet, good hard copper.  Each of the 4 date digits show clearly.  There are some light pin scratches on the seated figure, none really serious.  Q. David Bowers lists this coin a URS-6 in scarcity, or in his analysis 17-32 pieces known to exist.
