Description
Offered here at Auction is a 1787 dated Connecticut Copper Cent. I attribute this coin as a Miller 33.1-Z13, with a W-3310 designation by Q. David Bowers in his Colonial and Early American Coins attribution guide book. This coin has Very Good grade detail. The digits of the date all show clearly. The planchet is not corroded, however I note a couple marks on both obverse and reverse. There is a straight clip as seen on the lower left of the obverse and reverse. It is hard for me to tell if this is a mint error, or caused after leaving the mint. From what I see, it appears to be a straight clip from being at the end of the rolled out planchets. Q. David Bowers lists this coin a URS-7 in scarcity, or in his analysis 33-64 pieces known to exist.Multiple lot winners, I will combine all lots together and ship Priority mail for .95 total cost.
