    Description

Offered here at Auction is a 1785 dated Connecticut Copper Cent.  I attribute this coin as a Miller 6.5-M, with a W-2430 designation by Q. David Bowers in his Colonial and Early American Coins attribution guide book.  This coin has Fine grade detail, however, we see a rough surface coin.  The date shows partially, as it is pretty near the rim.  On the portrait side, one will note some corrosive issues.  Not too bad for a coin more than 200 years old.  Q. David Bowers lists this coin a URS-6 in scarcity, or in his analysis 17-32 pieces known to exist.
