Description
PCGS authenticated Genuine. Smooth and attractive silver-grey toning. Well struck and nicely centered, better struck than most of these pieces, VF Details. There are some fine planchet striations and some trivial marks. Holed, plugged, and re-engraved at the star between SIX and PENCE prior to 1882 as the plug is visible in the Bushnell plate from that year. Overall great eye appeal, especially for these pieces which are incredibly difficult to find with this combination of detail, color, and surfaces, not to mention such a fantastic provenance.Ex; W.
