Up for auction is this 1767 French Colonies, Colonial Copper Coin. These coppers were coined for use in the French Colonies and circulated in Louisiana, the West Indies and other French Colonies.
This coin carries an “

).
This coin displays remnants of an “

The coin is roughly 28.5 millimeters and weighs 11.6 grams or 180 grains.
These early Colonial Coins were hand struck, often from very worn and damaged dies.
This coin has lovely chocolate surfaces and is free of any nasty outside markings on both the obverse and reverse.
I grade this coin as a solid no problems Very Fine.
The excessive wear on the central portion of the obverse is a result of the counter stamping.
